About Alan
What have I done ?
Hello, my name is Alan and I've been helping people recover from injuries and various other conditions for over twenty years.
I have spent all this time attempting to turn myself into the ultimate therapist - if there is such a thing - Somebody who has the answer to ANY muscular-skeletal discomfort or energy imbalance, without the need to refer a patient off to somebody else when the going gets tough or an answer can't be easily found.
I came to therapeutic practice from the martial arts ( I have been a student of the martial arts for more years than I care to remember, and hold black belt Dan grades in Jujitsu and Ninjutsu). I Began my formal therapists training in 199o with the gifted acupuncturist Gerry Roche, who attempted to help me recover from a failed spinal operation, whilst teaching me the basics of Anatomy & Meridian theory.
In 1992, I was fortunate to be accepted into the European school of Modern Acupuncture, run by the complementary therapy guru Mr Ken Andrews.
Here I qualified in Anatomy & Physiology, was thoroughly schooled in many disciplines of physical and energetic alternative and complementary therapies, including; Traditional & modern acupuncture, five element, frequencies, balance points and soft tissue & manual releases, leading to diplomas in advanced modern acupuncture, massage and neuromuscular release & Cranial sacral therapy.
Since then I became an Osteomyologist in 2003 and gained further diplomas in Muscle Energy Technique, and Cranial sacral therapy.
I left the Association of Osteomyologists in 2009 when they started to move in a direction that no longer suited me, and instead I joined the Complementary Therapists Association and through which I am fully insured. In 2010 I was also accepted on to the register of (the Government monitored) register of practitioners - the complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) for massage work.
By having all these methods at my disposal, I am able to offer a truly integrated service to patients.
I don't think I'm the ultimate therapist yet, I probably never will be - but it's not for the want of trying!
If you got this far, thanks for reading and good health for the future.
Kind regards
Alan Clements.
