It's all about YOU!

I believe that a multiskilled, fully trained practitioner using combinations of suitable Bodywork & Energy techniques, can offer the best chance to help a person with the pain and debilitation brought on by many musculo-skeletal by conditions and injuries.
Before any treatment takes place, a full case history is taken and the patient's condition and suitability for treatment is discussed.  Following this basic neurological checks are conducted, along with diagnostic routines designed to establish the exact cause of the patient's discomfort.  Only then - and after discussing the findings with the patient - is any treatment administered.

Using a therapy combining approach,  I can usually cover all aspects of an injury presented to me without the need to refer to other Therapists. (It's not unusual for some Therapists to refer patients away, when a patient's problem exceeds their own skill set  -  This can lead to a higher costs to the patient).
Usually the only referals I make are ocasionally back to the patient's own GP, and this is usually done via a letter written at the time of the consultation and taken by the patient themselves.

Therapies:

MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUE - MET is a gentle but incredibly effective form of bodywork, during which affected muscles are 'reminded' how they should be working not how they 'think' they should be working.  Time and time again this technique has provided a rapid solution to extremely painful conditions, such as 'stiff neck', lumbar & pelvic problems, etc.

CRANIAL SACRAL Therapy - This is a treatment that can effect profound physical and emotional change. Cranial Sacral Therapy uses light touch to improve function of the central nervous system. It is thought to eliminate the negative effects of stress, strengthen resistance to disease and improve thought-to-be unrelated conditions, including TMJ, etc.

NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY - From my experience, the Holy Grail for conditions such as Frozen shoulder.
It involves a very detailed massage of muscles, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue, etc;  Releasing tight bands of muscle (hypertonicity), and areas of poor blood supply (ischemia), with specific attention paid to areas to Trigger points. These are palpable nodules in taut bands of muscle fibers
which are a common cause of pain.

REMEDIAL MASSAGE - Remedial massage seeks to remedy the cause creating muscle or tissue pain and dysfunction. Specific soft tissue techniques are used to promote health muscle function. These include structural and postural corrections.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE - Fascia is specialised connective tissue. One could call it the body's internal wrapping system, as it surrounds every structure within the body. Restriction in the fascia can affect not only the posture, but also the mobility of the entire body.  Release of the fascia helps to restore mobility and encourages balanced structural integration.

MODERN ACUPUNCTURE - This is a powerful therapy in its ability to work with both the Meridian energy system and the physical & neurological body. It involves the acurate measurement of acupuncture points in the ear and on the body, prior to using tried & tested techniques of Auricular, Classical & Electro Acupuncture.
Don't be put off if you are disturbed by the thought of needles - even though they are usually the best method of treatment, modern acupuncture has other non-intrusive methods of applying treatment if required.
